Establishing Limits on Bets & Aggregate Payouts

Casino management may choose to adhere to the following:

• Define and post separate minimum and maximum wagering limits for both the base game and side bet (if applicable).
• Define and post (for side bet wagers only) an aggregate limit for payouts (maximum allowed total payout to winning players wagering on the side bet, during a single round of play). Posting an aggregate limit protects your establishment from excessive liability in any one round of play, while allowing the player a wider range of betting options, subject to posted aggregate limits.

Basics of I Luv Suits Poker

The object of I Luv Suits Poker™ is to get a flush with more cards than the dealer. I Luv Suits Poker also offers the optional Flush Rush and Super Flush Rush Bonus wagers.

Getting Started

You make the ante wager to begin play. You may also make the Flush Rush and Super Flush Rush Bonus wagers. The dealer will give a packet of 7 cards to each participating player and to themselves. After seeing your cards, you will have the option to either fold or make the play wager based on the amount of cards in your flush:

• If your hand contains a four-card flush or lower, you may only bet 1x your ante.
• If your hand contains a five-card flush, you may bet up to 2x your ante.
• If your hand contains a six-card flush or higher, you may bet up to 3x your ante

Winning & Losing

Once all player decisions have been made the dealer will reveal their cards. The dealer’s hand must contain a three-card 9-high flush or better to qualify. If the dealer’s hand does not qualify, your play bet will be returned and your ante bet will be paid 1-to-1. If your hand wins, the ante and play bets pay 1 to 1. If the dealer beats your hand, the ante and play bets lose. If the dealer ties your hand, the ante and play bets both push.

Flush Rush Bonus

The Flush Rush wins if you have a four-card flush or higher. The more cards in your flush, the more you win. See paytable for odds.

Super Flush Rush Bonus

The Super Flush Rush payouts are based on making the longest straight flush hand, starting at a three-card straight flush or higher. See paytable for odds.

Rules and Dealing Procedures

1. Set the i-Deal shuffler to I Luv Suits Poker
2. To begin the game, players make an Ante wager. Players may also make the Flush Rush and Super Flush Rush bonus bets. See paytable for odds.
3. The dealer, working clockwise from their left to their right, gives each player a packet of 7 cards and themself a packet of 7 cards.
   • If using a shuffler that does not have the game definition already programmed in the software, use the following delivery method:
     • Dealer working clockwise from their left to their right, will give each player a packet of seven cards, and Dealer’s hand last of seven cards.
4. The dealer then presses the green button on the i-Deal to dispense all the remaining cards and begin shuffling the next deck.
5. Players look at their hands and have a choice:
   • Fold or stay in the game by making a Play bet of;
     • 1x their Ante if they have a 4 card flush or less
     • Up to 2x their Ante if they have a 5 card flush
     • Up to 3x their Ante if they have a 6 card flush or more
   • The Flush Rush and Super Flush Rush bonus wagers (if played) are always in action. If the player folds, the dealer will pick up the players Ante wager and tuck the cards face down under the player’s bonus wager that’s closest to the dealer. All folded hand bonus wagers will be resolved at the end of each hand along with the remaining active hands.
6. The dealer then reveals their cards and sets their longest flush hand. The dealer’s 7-card hand must contain at least a three-card 9-high flush or better to qualify.
7. If the dealer does not qualify, Play bets are immediately refunded and Ante bet is paid 1-to-1.
8. If the dealer does qualify, working counter-clockwise from right to left, compares their hand with the hand of each player that stayed in the game.
   • If the player’s hand beats the dealer’s hand, the Ante and Play bet will be paid even money.
   • If the player’s hand ranks less than the dealer’s hand, the Ante and Play will lose.
   • If the player’s and dealer’s hand result in a tie, then both the Ante and Play will result in a push.
9. Players win the Flush Rush bonus bet if they can make a four-card flush or better, even if they lose to the dealer. Sample paytable below:

Math Report

Analysis Methodology:

There is only one strategy decision in I Luv Suits. The Player must decide to Play or Fold. The decision on how much to Play is not really a decision. If the Player is favored to win the hand, he should bet as much as he can. With a 5-Card Flush, the Player is favored to win the hand and as such should bet the 2x. This is even more so with 6- and 7-Card Flushes and he should bet 3x.

All that remains is the decision of when to Play 1x vs. Fold. If the Player Folds, he will lose 1 unit. For the Player to Play he must have a net loss of 1 unit or better. In order to determine when this occurs, a computer program was created to play 100,000 random Dealer hands against a predetermined Player hand. Using trial and error, the approximate hand which is the minimum hand worthy of a Play is determined.

While the major consideration in this is the rank of the Flush hand, the other cards do impact the decision – specifically the rank of the other cards as this can ‘interfere’ with the Dealer’s ability to beat the Player. If the Player has higher ranking cards of the off-suit than the top rank of his Flush, this will reduce the Dealer’s probability of beating the Player and thus, it is possible that the Player’s hand can be slightly weaker and still warrant a Play wager.

Once the strategy was determined, another program which simulated random play using this strategy was created to get the payback of the game and a variety of other statistics.

It should be noted that the strategy determined should not be considered to be ‘perfect’, but rather a very close approximation. It is this analyst’s opinion that the resulting payback is likely within 0.02% of the perfect payback based on the variety of simulations run. This is relatively insignificant, and the Player is more likely to make more errors if the defined strategy becomes more complex.

Results:

The process described earlier yielded the following strategy:

• Any 3-Card Flush of 10-9-4 or better if 1 Jack or Better in hand

• Any 3-Card Flush of 10-5 or better if 3 Jacks or Better in hand
• Any 3-Card Flush of 10-X or better if 4 Jacks or Better in hand

Fold all others.

Optional Sidebets

A computer program was created to play every possible 7-card deal from a standard 52-card deck and tabulate the longest Flush and Straight Flush that can be made from each hand. These distributions are shown in the tables below:

The frequency of each winning hand is multiplied by the payout of that hand and these results summed to arrive at the overall payback of the sidebet. This calculation is shown for each paytable in the tables below:
